COVID-19 Update for the M.C. Quantock Bull Sale on January 30th

By January 25, 2021No Comments

How will Covid affect our sale this year?

We are planning for our sale to be as “normal” as possible. It will proceed as usual at the Lloydminster Exhibition Grounds. We will abide by all Saskatchewan Health protocols while keeping the safety and needs of our customers foremost.

Our indoor facility at the Lloydminster Exhibition is 45,000 square feet (an acre and a bit) of large, well ventilated buildings. There will be lots of sanitizer and masks available.

The sale will be a normal live auction with bulls moving through the ring one at a time. We have ample space to self-distance in all areas of the sale complex including our auction ring with lots of spaced seating.

We will serve a beef on a bun lunch at 11 AM abiding by the serving guidelines established by Saskatchewan Health.

We will offer an area of remote viewing by “big screen” so you can enjoy the sale while you wait for your breed in the ring. To help plan your day, here is our estimated selling times:

Red Angus and Red Super Baldies 12:30 PM

Super Guppies 2:00 PM

H2’s and Herefords 2:20 PM

Black Super Baldies 2:45 PM

Black Angus 3:30 PM

Charolais 4:30 PM

All times are Mountain Standard Time/Alberta Time

Because of the speed of our sale, it will not be broadcast online, same as previous years.

This year more than ever, many customers are choosing to use our Sight Unseen Program. Please watch our short video below for more details on how Sight Unseen works and give us a call at 1-800-561-2855 (BULL).

If you would like to participate by live ringside phone, just let us know.

It will be a little different, but with all precautions in place, we’ll do our very best to stage a safe and enjoyable sale day.
